The Jam’s aim was to get the get the right people in the right environment asking the right questions and focused on rapid prototyping of solutions to environment sustainability problems – fail early, fast and cheap.
Embracing the spirit of co-creation, innovation and experimentation, multidisciplinary jamming teams formed by diverse professionals and environmental sustainability practitioners will walk through a FUN process in 48 hours that explore the problems, find the needs of stakeholders, gain insights, ask the right questions, unleash creativity, make prototypes…
You eventually develop EFFECTIVE & ACTIONABLE solutions that you and your team can carry out forward in the REAL WORLD to make a difference! At the end of the weekend, the collection of solutions will be published to the world!
1. Potential projects of the NEXT BIG IDEAS, CONCRETE PROTOTYPES and PLANS OF ACTION! They can be new products, services, campaigns, business models etc. We will give out AWARDS to outstanding projects and possibly funding opportunity to support the carrying out of projects.
Last year, almost 1000 people took part in the Global Sustainability Jam 2011 and 121 projects were produced.

2. Learn an innovation framework, tools and new working methods that enable you to solve any problems from day-to-day life, organizational work, to systemic social problems effectively!
3. The valuable connections and platform of like-minded community from multiple stakeholders and backgrounds, build in your team, our jam, and even the global sustainability jam network, who strives for the common goal of environment sustainability of Hong Kong.
